Robot Developer Robros Unveils First Humanoid IGRIS
Robros said it unveiled its next-generation humanoid robot IGRIS at the 2025 Korea Robot Conference held in Pyeongchang, Gangwon from Feb. 12 to 15.
IGRIS is a cutting-edge humanoid that combines human-like hands with AI. It is designed to provide services in complex indoor and outdoor environments such as hotels, restaurants, and cafes.
IGRIS applies Robros' proprietary reinforcement learning based walking technology and imitation learning based object manipulation technology, enabling natural movement and precise tasks.

Robros aims to deploy the robot in service settings to address labor shortages and create new customer experiences.
IGRIS won the Excellence Award in the general category at the KORS Red Show, an annual robot creation contest held at the conference.
CEO Noh Seungjun said the company aims to realize a future where humanoids become essential in daily life and to be the first to commercialize humanoids in the service industry.
Robros also presented next-generation AI capabilities at the conference.
CTO Park Hyunjoon presented a paper titled "An Ensemble Method for Improving Task Speed in Imitation Learning Based Robot Work" at the 20th Korea Robotics Conference.
The research proposed a breakthrough approach to overcome limits of imitation learning and suggested that robots could perform tasks faster and more precisely than humans.
