ROBROS Wins IEEE-RAS Humanoid Competition

Korean robot company ROBROS achieved a major milestone on the global stage where robot researchers gather.

Its humanoid IGRIS-C won a walking performance competition, demonstrating global competitiveness.

ROBROS said IGRIS-C won the bipedal static obstacle avoidance competition held as a side event of the IEEE-RAS 24th International Conference on Humanoid Robots at COEX in Seoul from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2.

IGRIS-C is designed as a general-purpose research platform for AI researchers. It can be used not only for AI training data collection but also for industrial proof-of-concept stages, and is seen as a bridge between research and industry.

Dr. Kim Seungyeon, who led the hardware design, said IGRIS-C aims to be a general-purpose humanoid platform and achieved stability through balanced proportions and weight.
