ROBROS to Unveil Humanoid 'IGRIS-C' at CES 2026

Bipedal walking demonstration without a hoist

Korean robotics company ROBROS announced on the 31st that it will unveil its humanoid robot "IGRIS-C" at CES 2026, the world's largest electronics and IT exhibition, to be held next month in Las Vegas, USA.

ROBROS will demonstrate IGRIS-C's autonomous walking without an external hoist (support device). Based on stable balance control and artificial intelligence (AI)-driven real-time response technology, the company plans to show the robot moving on its own judgment.

IGRIS-C is an AI-based humanoid robot designed to collaborate naturally with people. It stands 154cm tall and weighs 56kg. It was designed to be operated without difficulty in indoor environments such as offices, research labs, and manufacturing sites.

Human-robot interaction (HRI) technology will also be showcased. A total of some 20 preset motions have been implemented, including waving, handshakes, fist bumps, one-hand hearts, and overhead hearts. These motions can be controlled through a mobile app or a research interface.

ROBROS develops the entire humanoid robot process in-house, from hardware design to control systems, interfaces, and AI-based motion technology. The company holds a low-gear-ratio actuation system and situation-prediction-based AI control technology.

Seungjun Ro, CEO of ROBROS, said, "IGRIS-C is a humanoid platform that can be widely used across research, demonstration, service, and education settings," adding, "Our goal is to substantively realize the era of physical AI and present the future of robots that work alongside people."
