ROBROS Demonstrates 'High-Difficulty Dynamic Whole Body Motion' with Independently Developed Humanoid
Backflips and windmill spins achieved… hardware and software designed in-houseKorean robotics company ROBROS announced on the 30th that it has successfully implemented high-difficulty Dynamic Whole Body Motion with its bipedal humanoid robot.
In a demonstration video, ROBROS revealed its humanoid 'IGRIS-C' performing movements such as backflips, windmill spins, kicks, and squatting and standing up.

A ROBROS official said, "Dynamic whole body motion is a foundational technology that enables a robot to perform locomotion and manipulation simultaneously, requiring the ability to adjust a rapidly shifting center of gravity in real time and control the entire body," adding, "This is the first time a bipedal humanoid independently developed by a Korean company has demonstrated dynamic movement at this level."
IGRIS-C, used in this demonstration, is a humanoid platform that ROBROS developed entirely in-house, from hardware design to control algorithms and AI software. Standing 154 cm tall and weighing 56 kg, it has a human-like build and is designed to deliver outstanding operational stability even in confined spaces.
ROBROS is currently conducting proof-of-concept (PoC) programs with IGRIS-C at industrial sites facing labor shortages, including Lotte Global Logistics and shipyards.
Seungjun Ro, CEO of ROBROS, said, "Dynamic whole body motion is a core technology for humanoids to work like humans," adding, "Through technological innovation, we will build a world-class humanoid platform."
